Threats of Oil Drilling
With oil prices going up and supply limited, we're challenged as a nation on what is best for our future. We believe that clean energy is the only true solution. It has been pointed out by scientist and govenernment organizations that should drilling be allowed it would only effect the price of gas by about two cents and it would take years to get it to the market, but the oil companies would get lots of money. The reefs in the US are extremely challenged and listed as 'poor' by NOAA. We don't believe that spills like happened recently on the Mississippi which endangered animals, plants and people can be prevented. They want to drill offshore as well as in the Artic National Refuge. Alaska is one of our last pristine wildernesses and it should be highly guarded given it is already being threatened by global warming. Recently, the polar bear was listed on the ESA and this would not have happened if there wasn't extreme challenges facing the species. This is true for the whales, wolves and other species it would impact. Oil is impacting us on a daily basis and the only way to get free is to stop, re-evaluate and choose clean energy, water, wind, solar and other eco-friendly options.
Please join Beholdance and tell congress how you feel about the addiction we have to oil and that we need to say NO to lifting the ban on offshore drilling.

purpose leads on to actions,
actions form habits,
habits decide character, and
character fixes our destiny”
